Andromeda centre is located in Vlachata village (Lourdas) which is a popular holiday resort with one of the longest beaches on the south coast of Kefalonia. It offers many restaurants and bars, but is perhaps more relaxed and laid back than other resorts like Lassi. Because the main road ends at the beach, there is no through traffic, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere.
The original village centre retains much of its authentic Greek charm, with an ancient olive tree as the focus, while newer bars and restaurants are dotted around the road between Vlachata and the beach. All the usual facilities which help to make your holiday can be found close by: Car and bike hire, mini-markets, bus and taxi services, and there are sun beds and brollies for hire on the beach. If you prefer something a little more solitary, a pleasant stroll in either direction will take you to bed- and bar-free areas.
Lourdas is about 20 minutes from the airport and a half hour from Lassi and Argostoli and Skala. It’s also easily accessible from other popular resorts, such as Katelios, Poros, Sami and Aghia Efimia.
